Saturday, June 27th
 7 − 9:30 pm
$21 prepaid by February 20th, $26 thereafter

Live Improvisational Music on Native American Flutes & Mexican Ocarinas Played in Direct Response to Each Circle Members.

Pravada Sound Healing Movement is a powerfully transformational healing art form, in which we allow the innate wisdom and authentic sounds that live deeply within the heart of our being to rise up and speak out freely. These primal sounds lead us naturally into improvisational healing movement and heightened spiritual awareness... woven with periods of sacred silence and stillness, which honor our true balance in life. We release old patterning, and begin to feel an increase in energy and health - experiencing a profound sense of peace, a new trust in our bodies and inner wisdom, and a greater ease when speaking authentically from the heart,....living life freely in our truest essence.

Improvisational sound is a living, interactional form that helps us arrive fully in the present moment ...where we are easily able to connect with our own wisdom, guidance, and the brilliance of the universe.

  • arriving fully in the present moment
  • listening to and trusting your own wisdom
  • receiving - learning to follow moment-to-moment guidance
  • awakening your higher spiritual awareness
  • learning self-healing from injuries and chronic illness
  • returning to natural full union with all of life
  • re-claiming your power, authenticity and freedom

" Nina Umai's work is powerful, yet simple enough for anyone to access.  The beauty of her sound healing techniques are that once you learn and understand them, you have tools that are with you for life. She is one of the top healers I have worked with among the many I have experienced in my role at the Omega Institute. "
Brett Bevell, Staff Program Coordinator at the Omega Institute in NY,
author of "Reiki for Spiritual Healing", and "The Reiki Magic Guide to
       Self Attunement".

More Testimonials

"The journey with Nina Umai has been profound and life-changing for me. Working with sound in a shamanic way helped me to access levels of insight, guidance, wisdom and healing quickly, and with delight and ease. I experienced relief from chronic pain - on physical, emotional and energetic levels. I also began to cultivate a deeper, more engaged way of connecting with spirit in my daily life."

About Nina Umai
Nina Umai began studying improvisational dance and playing sound healing music intuitively on wooden flutes in the forrest surrounding her country home when she was three years old, which taught her to honor her inner wisdom while healing from an early near death experience. Her Siberian-Ukranian-Romanian-Jewish lineage gifted her with a sacred earth connection and has played a large role in the creation of her music and sound healing movement, (most of her family members were dancers and musicians ). Improvisational sound and movement soon became her favorite avenues for self-healing, as they naturally return us to a full state of oneness with all living beings and spirits. Nina Umai received teachings and guidance from her woodland companions when she was a child, as well as from the spirit, angelic, and star realms.  She was among the earliest integrative medicine sound healing pioneers in the field in the mid 70's, (where she began teaching sound movement in medical settings), and was an integral member of one of the first extensive hospital sound healing programs in the country at Sacred Heart Hospital, in Eugene, Oregon.   Nina Umai is the original founder of the Pravada Sound Healing System, which she developed over a lifetime of personal healing, woven together with teachings from her ancestral lineage and 35 years as an MSW therapist in private practice, which includes; Pravada Sound Healing Meditation, Psychotherapy, Reiki, Sound Healing Movement, Couples and Family Therapy, and Integrative Medicine Sound - Meditation, and Mindfulness Techniques.  She has been teaching the staff at the Omega Institute in New York for over 13 years, has played flutes for the 13 Grandmother Gatherings as well as for many other indigenous sound healing circles, and is the sound healing musician for the Contact Program for International Peace Building and Conflict Resolution in Brattleboro, Vermont. Nina Umai has a private practice in Great Barrington, Ma., and offers ongoing workshops, self-healing sessions, a four year Pravada Apprenticeship Training Program, and concerts on the East and West coasts, as well as internationally. She is a well known recording artist with five sound healing CD's, which are used in many dance, medical, meditation, and healing arts settings.
