Chronic Leg Pain Healed at Pravada Sound Healing Evening!
In October, remarkable sound healer Nina Umai Spiro provided a Pravada Sound Healing evening at Crystal Wellness Center. The beauty and magical quality of the songs Nina Umai plays on native flutes and ocarinas are reason enough to come to one of these events. The experience was transforming, with each song taking me to a different place of wonder within my soul. I know others also had remarkable personal experiences, because after the event they did not want to leave. There was much praise - some suggesting that Nina Umai could perform at Tanglewood.
Her events are so much more than simply hearing music. Nina Umai walks throughout the room, directing the vibration of her sacred healing instruments towards every individual and spends time with each person.
According to Nina Umai, the effects of this "vibrational" healing usually appear 48 hours after receiving the healing. One woman who had painful leg cramping caused by a heart condition attended the October event upon the encouragement of a relative she was visiting. Two days after the event the relative reported to us that the pain in her legs was gone, and she could only attribute it to Nina Umai's intuition, feedback, and sound healing. She was quite surprised, because she had not expected, or believed, that anything would happen.
We are fortunate that Nina Umai has recently moved to the area, and even more so that she will be offering Pravada Sound Healing evenings once a month at Crystal Wellness Center! Her next event is Saturday, April 25th. The theme is "Integrative Medicine Sound Healing". Scroll down for details. Attendance is limited, because each person receives individual attention, so please call to reserve soon.

About Nina Umai
Nina Umai began playing sound healing music intuitively on wooden flutes in the forest surrounding her country home when she was three years old, as a way of learning to listen to the wisdom of her own body while healing from an early near death experience. Improvisational sound soon became her favorite avenue for self-healing and communication, as it naturally returns us to a full state of oneness with all living beings and spirits. Nina Umai was among the earliest integrative medicine sound healing pioneers in the field in the mid 70's, and is the co-founder of one of the first extensive hospital sound healing programs in the country at Sacred Heart Hospital, in Eugene, Oregon. She is the original founder of the Pravada Integrative Medicine Sound Healing System, which she developed over a lifetime of personal healing, woven together with 35 years as an MSW therapist in private practice, which included her ground breaking work in Integrative Medicine in hospitals across the country, Psychotherapy, Reiki, Sound Healing Movement, Couples and Family Therapy, Integrative Medicine Sound - Meditation, and Mindfulness Techniques. Nina Umai has been teaching the staff at the Omega Institute in New York for over 13 years, and is the sound healing musician for the Contact Program for International Peace Building and Conflict Resolution in Brattleboro, Vermont. She has a private practice in Great Barrington, Ma., and offers ongoing workshops, self-healing sessions, a four year Pravada Apprenticeship Training Program, and concerts on the East and West coasts, as well as internationally. She is a well known recording artist with 5 sound healing CD's, which are used across the country in many medical and healing arts settings.
